US 7332 Control the movementof people and vehicles at a specified location during a civil defence emergency

  • Establish the legal authority for establishing a cordon.
  • Cordon an area to restrict public and vehicle access.
  • Establish a checkpoint to manage the flow of people and vehicles into and out of a cordoned area.

A prerequisite is Resque3 Rope Responder or US20538 Perform Descender based Rope Rescue.

The course is NZQA unit standard 23695 - Provide companion animal welfare during a CDEM emergency delivered by Fire Rescue and First Response. This two day course teaches you to;
  • demonstrate knowledge of ethical behaviour in relation to care and handling of companion animals
  • receive companion animals at a welfare centre
  • perform safe handling of companion animals
  • care for companion animals on a daily basis during a CDEM emergency
  • release companion animals from CDEM emergency custody
