COVID could still put a stop to this happening given the local situation.

This year the Papamoa one is being held a week earlier than the rest.

USAR1, USAR 2 & USAR3 are being used as lead vehicles as was the case last year.

USAR1 & USAR2 are meeting at Gordon Spratt Reserve to pick up the trailing vehicles with trailers and helpers at 1730hrs.

USAR3 is being driven by Jon as last year with the FENZ troops at Pap East.

Finishing by 2000hrs, there will be sausages and chips available at the end cooked by the local Lions Club.

How it has worked in the passed is a services vehicle (USAR 1, 2 and/or 3) travels a given route with lights on and sounds the siren to alert the neighbourhood that we are there and another vehicle will follow with trailer and members collecting from the public as they come out to donate.

NOTES for 2020.
Collect packaging boxes from DomSalt
Packaging tape and dispenser to retape boxes.
Boxes are lower than banana boxes but are sturdy when the lid is folded inside.
They can stack on top of each other easily.
Allow for traffic at that time of afternoon for those getting to meeting points.

Debrief notes:
Carry bag or box for collectors?
USAR3 has intercom speaker fitted.
USAR1 need to check if intercom fitted.
USAR1 & USAR2 do have hand held loadhailers. To inform public that it is a food driv not a Tsunami.
Signs made up to put on sides of vehicles saying what we are collecting for.
Some tinsel on trucks.
High side trailers need to remove back gate.
Try and get confirmation of routes from organisers early?
