Resque 3 are planning their night training exercise again.
Note this is a Thursday night.
 
 
Thank you for your interest in participating on the Flood Response Night Ex. We are going to try again on the 24th of July. Roughly the same plan as before.
 
Situation: TBC
Location: Ohau channel, Rotorua
Times: 18:30 to 21:00 
 
Please feel free to invite others, we have 25 responders to keep busy during that time.
 
I'll send details of the Situation and PPE required the week of the 14th July.

Light Rescue

  • Ladder hinge – set up & execution
  • Ladder slide – set up & execution
  • Two-point lowers

Competencies obtained.

  • Raise and lower extension ladder
  • Secure head and foot of ladder
  • Climb ladder with 3 points of contact, holding rungs
  • Correct dismount and mount ladder at top
  • Inspect ladder pre and post use
  • Attach lowering/tag lines to stretcher
  • Use body belay or friction hitch to lower a stretcher
  • Conduct 2 point lower
  • Ladder Slide
  • Adder hinge
  • Attach lowering/tag lines to stretcher
  • Lash basket stretcher
  • Load and blanket stretcher with patient secured correctly
