Tonight we will have a presentation from Marianne O'Halloran a former member of NZ-RT16 and contracted geotec engineer with the Task Force.

Marianne is a geotec engineer in her day job and consulted to the Task Forces in Christchurch.

She will give a presentation from a "Task Force technician geotech failure, hazard id etc module."

Theory/Practical for unit standard 10618 - Rescue casualties using rescue techniques.

This will cover stretchers & patient lashing to stretchers, knots and lines, improvised casualty handling.

Swift Water Responders Course, this is for those that are not at Tech lever or have not completed this course or need a refresher if it's been more than 3 yrs since completing last course.

It will involve a classroom based session and a practical session in a river.
A reasonable swimming ability will be required.
 
Please register as soon as possible so numbers can be confirmed. This will help with logistics and keeping cost low.
The only cost to you will be your time and maybe lunch each day.
 
Theory will be held in Whakatane at NZ-RT17's base at 42 Te Tahi St, Whakatane and the practical will be held in the Tarawera river in Kawerau.
